Flashback: The Muppet Show (1976-1980)

The Muppet Show, produced by puppeteer Jim Henson, was a vaudeville-esque variety show that brought a host of lovable characters for child and adult, alike.

Each episode featured a human guest star. As the show’s popularity rose, many celebrities were eager to perform with the Muppets on television and in film.

On Season 4, Episode 17 (1980), The Muppet Show was graced with the likes of Luke Skywalker, C-3PO and R2-D2 for the famed show, which included the satirical “Pigs in Space” skit.
