Concert Will Feature Gundam Thunderbolt Composer Naruyoshi Kikuchi
NEW YORK, NY (July 18, 2017) – LeftField Media and SUNRISE Inc. today announced the inaugural Anime NYC festival will play host to the US premiere of Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: Bandit Flower, the second film in the Gundam Thunderbolt series, and that this premiere will be accompanied by a live concert featuring the music of Gundam Thunderbolt led by composer Naruyoshi Kikuchi.
Anime NYC powered by Crunchyroll is a new Japanese pop culture convention launching November 17-19, 2017 in New York’s Javits Center, and it will bring fans together with creators and companies from across America and Japan. SUNRISE’s Gundam Thunderbolt premiere and concert will take place within Anime NYC on Sunday, November 19th.
Gundam Thunderbolt: Bandit Flower is a sci-fi story grounded in the warfare of today and uniquely brought to life by the music of Naruyoshi Kikuchi. One of Japan’s greatest jazz composers and musicians, Mr. Kikuchi is acclaimed at home in Japan and around the world, and no stranger to anime, he’s also the composer of the Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine soundtrack and his saxophone can be heard in the music of Cowboy Bebop.
Mr. Kikuchi will appear at Anime NYC as an Official Guest, leading and performing in the Gundam Thunderbolt series concert, as well as speaking on panels and signing autographs.

“We’re Alive” Zombie drama podcast!
Our Ramen team was at Comikaze … oops wrong name, it is Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con, now that’s a mouthful. One of our first interviews with various guest from the show was with “We’re Alive” creator Kc Wayland (Wayland Productions). Ramen host Eddie Ballar talks to Kc Wayland about his hit zombie post-apocalyptic radio podcast.
Batman Cosplay Outfit with Lots of Bat-Gadgets
Special Effects guru Julian Checkley is not just your ordinary Batman cosplayer, he makes working Bat-gadgets as well. Inspired by the video game Batman: Arkham Origins, he designed the Bat-costume with working Bat weapons, like LCD video screen, smoke bombs, flashlight, communications unit and more.
Hasbro Marvel Legends: Iron Man Electronic Helmet
It is time for me to upgrade my “cosplay” Halloween Iron Man costume. As you can see from the picture above – that Iron Man helmet barely fit me and yes it’s for kids, but I made it work using red duck tape to help expand the helmet because my head is too big.
Now Marvel will be producing “adult” role play gear. This new Iron Man helmet is badass. This is great for people who want to cosplay but don’t have time to make their own Iron Man helmet. This is the Marvel Legends Series: Iron Man Electronic Helmet with LED light eyes and sound effects.

Welcome to Silicon Valley Comic-Con 2016!
Welcome to the first Silicon Valley Comic-Con! The inaugural of SVCC was the largest Comic convention in San Jose, California, thanks to Steve Wozniak and Stan Lee. The convention was a collaboration between panel talks of surfacing technology such as Virtual Reality and how will we use it? So when you you took a stroll through the convention floor, you were literally walking through the imaginative world of stories ; and if you chose to attend a tech panel, you can see how comics and Sci-fi have contributed to innovative technology and its use –Such things as the hoverboard which is the future of skateboard transportation! Now that’s what I call the ying and the yang.
Now who said we were just here to see Stan Lee? – RETRENDERS, or course!

The Jam-Packed Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo 2015 Show!
First off, we at Retrenders love providing solid content and quality video content on our YouTube channel, but we had a slight delay and like to apologize for the dark video quality. We were shooting on our Sony V1U and left the ND Filter on and that’s a “not bad” on our part. Lesson learned and that will never happen again.
Okay, got that off my chest! Here’s the jam packed episode from Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo 2015 from the LA Convention Center on Halloween weekend. Our Ramen crew explores the growing and ever expanding Comikaze Expo. The Eddie and Ramon takes around the convention floor. So sit back and grab some chocolate gummy bears and enjoy the episode.

SF Anime Festival & Cosplay 2015
We’ve been a little behind editing many videos from various events we’ve attended this summer. Here’s a quick recap of the SF Anime Festival & Cosplay in Japantown that took place on July 18, 2015. The Ramen crew was there to see all the cosplay fun and meet-up with special cosplay guest Reika from Japan.
Anime Expo 2015 Vlog Series
Even though this Retrenders got the big rejection on getting press credentials for AX, that still did not stop us! Since Ramen host Ramon Angel has never been to Anime Expo, we grab some friends and a mini-van (that really helps) and took a road trip down to SoCal for AX 2015 this July 4th weekend! Since our fresh camera operators Johnny Moreno and James Navarro couldn’t make the trip, we will do a Vlog series of videos on AX 2015. We’ll give our opinions, thoughts, reflections, highlights and whatever else is on our mind, so check our AX Vlog Playlist on our Retrenders’ YouTube channel!
