Estee Lauder Mad Men Collection

Constance Jablonski for Estee Lauder

Following the heels of Banana Republic’s successful Mad Men inspired capsule collection, Estee Lauder will be debuting their very own retro-inspired collection on March 18, just a couple of days before the premiere of Mad Men Season 5 on March 25th. A second collection for Season 6 is currently in the works.

According to Estee Lauder Global Brand President, Jane Hertzmark Hudis, “We’ve always felt like there’s a connection between Mad Men and the Estée Lauder brand and Estée herself; the sixties were our heyday as well.”

They were interested with working with Matthew Weiner because the collaboration could happen in “an authentic way. We were there in the sixties—it’s not creating something inspired by the sixties; we have stuff from the sixties!” That was probably the clincher, as Weiner is famously known for being strict on using authentic and time-accurate attire, styles, and decor.

This collection will be featuring a Limited Edition Lipstick and Creme Rouge in a gorgeous gold gilded design.

Signature Lipstick in Cherry, Creme Rouge in Evening Rose. Both limited edition.

The designs were inspired from Estee Lauder’s own collections from the 1960s and the items themselves capture the make-up aesthetic of Mad Men: bold cherry lips and rouged rosy cheeks.
