The setting is the 2014 Blanc Pain Endurance series. The NISMO team started the opening lap at grid 32, that’s 32 of out 44 cars in the race. In this one lap, Al Buncombe climbs 17 places for the 13th position by the second lap. Now that’s just crazy.
With the 2014 Detroit Auto Show already off and running this week, Nissan unveiled their Nissan Sports Sedan Concept which might be the next Maxima. The last couple of generation of Maximas have been kinda of boring and tame. Hopefully, a Nismo tuned version will be down the line.
This past November 2013 in the “Land of the Rising Sun” Japan, the NISMO Festival 2013 took place at Fuji Speedway. Over 30,000 Nissan fans gathered at this annual special event. NISMO TV recaps the festival with some amazing highlights and classic iconic Nissan rides.

The 2013 Tokyo Motor Show recently took placed in Tokyo, Japan and Nissan unveiled a couple of street montsers. First, everybody thought Nissan was going to bring back the Silva (240) or a replacement model of the 370Z, but instead Nissan brought out 2 concepts. The Datsun 510 Bluebird is back with these two models: Nissan IDx Freeflow and the NISMO tuned IDx.
Japanese artist Makoto Komori is well known for his children’s illustration books and his Datto-san series is popular with kids in Japan. It’s kinda of like Pixar’s Cars, but with Komori’s own sense of style and flair.

This is one insane Mad Max-style Nissan Silvia. The car was dreamed up by Sataomi Nakawatase with a tribute to Japanese robots, military tanks, old factory walls and California license plates. The Silvia is fitted with a Greddy turbo, Stance Japan suspension and Mickey Thompson wheels.
Nissan celebrated it’s 55th year of the iconic Skyline in 2012. Nissan Japan teamed up with artist Eizin Suzuki to depict every generation of the Skyline with a cool scenic background. The 12 wallpapers can be downloaded for your PC or smartphone for free on the 55th Anniversary website.
On September 15th, 2012, the annual Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS) took place in Long Beach, California. The show features classic JDM rides like Toyota’s AE86 and cool Datsun cars from a bygone era. Here’s a video highlight of what took place at the event.
