Earlier in the year DC Comics launched a Wonder Women Makeup Collection exclusive to Walgreens. Now comes the Gotham Girls Collection featuring Batgirl, Catwoman and Harley Quinn. I spotted these items at my local Walgreens store this week. The mini-collection features bags and other makeup beauty products like Batgirl lipstick, Catwoman eyeshadow and Harley Quinn brush set. Prices range from $3.00USD and up to $12.00USD.

Just for us comic book fan-girls, Mattel recently launched a Barbie-like 12″ doll line-up of DC Comics female superheroes featuring Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee and Poison Ivy. And now on sale are the 6″ action figure line-up with various points of articulation.

I remember being a big fan when Cassandra Cain took over as the role of Batgirl and I bought every issue at the comic book store, but of course during the eventual run, it got weird and basically a bad storyline cancelled the series. Now my Batgirl interest has peaked with curiosity with new an new artist Mingjue Helen Chen coming into the DC fold. The Academy of Art graduate whose worked on projects like Wreck-It Ralp and Big Hero 6 is now bringing her own unique digital anime-cartoon style to Gotham Academy #7 and Batgirl Annual #3.
