“Homeland” TV Program in Promo Vinyl Covers

showtimevinylcoversI’ve always found joy in CD, cassette tape or vinyl albums, because you could read the many linear notes, look at the artwork and it just felt more tangible in your hands.  Kids today are missing out with downloading and streaming music, but I digress.  The topic at hand is these cool vinyl-style jazz covers made for the hit Showtime program “Homeland.”

Fatlace x Transformers = The 2nd Drop

This past weekend, Fatlace released Drop 2 of this Transformers graphic tee collection.  I really like how they use the classic Transformers G1 line in shirt designs.  You can drop by Illest SF or LA retail stores, but my brother said it’s better to just buy it online at Fatlace since the stores sometimes carry a limited selection.  You maybe dropping a dime on these but it’s well worth it.

Trending Artist: Gaby Moreno

Gaby Moreno is an eclectic singer and songwriter playing anything from the blues to ragtime jazz songs to Latin pop.

From Guatemala, Gaby is a very versatile and talented Latin alternative-rock artist that has been in the United States for over 10 years. She’s also won the John Lennon songwriting contest, sang the Charlie Chaplin song “Smile” for the Academy Award winning documentary The Cove, and wrote the theme song for the NBC comedy, Parks and Recreation.

Gaby can be compared to having the sweet soulful sounds of Etta James and Édith Piaf, whether she sings in English or in Spanish!
