LEGO “Heavy Weapons”

nostarchpresslegoheavyweaponsDo you have any summer reading plans?  Might I suggest “LEGO Heavy Weapons” book from No Starch Press.  It’s 368 pages of instructions on how to build 4 life-size guns with shooting action, like loading clips and firing brick ammo – and all from LEGOs.  The book will show you how to piece together the Desert Eagle pistol, AKS-74U assault rifle, Jungle Carbine rifle, and SPAS shotgun.  This kid Jack Streat from the UK started when he was just 13 years-old building LEGO firearms.

Lego & Moleskine Collab

Everybody should backpack through Europe once in their lifetime.  Not only will you have an amazing adventure but you will also end up meeting different kinds of people from all walks of life.  Well, the hostels can be a hit or miss, but you can use Yelp to find the best hostels for your stay.  I have to say, besides the clubs, the food, the shops, the tourist spots, and the gazillion churches to visit, I also enjoyed just sitting at a café writing and drawing in my journal.  It was cool jotting ideas and other random thoughts arising from my head while watching the world around me.  Picture a cozy outdoor café in the South of France overlooking the sea while you are sipping on a cup of coffee.

Super Bowl Stadium Made from LEGOS

Do you want to know why LEGOs are so cool?

Brian Alano is not even a football fan, but his wife is a die-hard Peyton Manning fan and got him to do a special project.  Brian spent 3 years using 30,000 LEGO bricks to build the Colts’ Lucas Oil Stadium.  It even has a retractable roof.
