Welcome to Silicon Valley Comic-Con 2016!

Welcome to the first Silicon Valley Comic-Con! The inaugural of SVCC was the largest Comic convention in San Jose, California, thanks to Steve Wozniak and Stan Lee. The convention was a collaboration between panel talks of surfacing technology such as Virtual Reality and how will we use it? So when you you took a stroll through the convention floor, you were literally walking through the imaginative world of stories ; and if you chose to attend a tech panel, you can see how comics and Sci-fi have contributed to innovative technology and its use –Such things as the hoverboard which is the future of skateboard transportation! Now that’s what I call the ying and the yang.
Now who said we were just here to see Stan Lee? – RETRENDERS, or course!

The 2016 Silicon Valley Comic-Con!

This 3-day weekend in the SF Bay Area will kick-off the first-ever Silicon Valley Comic-Con at the San Jose Convention Center. The merging of technology, gadgets, comics and pop culture are brought to you by geek master Steve Wozniak and comic book icon Stan Lee. Our Retrenders staff and Ramen and a Half film crew will be there all weekend covering the event. So please check our Retrenders’ YouTube channel for more updates and videos!

Silicon Valley Comic Con 2016

We are happy to announce that we will be attending Silicon Valley Comic Con doing what Retrenders does best! So join us in March 18-20 at the San Jose Convention Center as we do coverage of the first ever Silicon Valley Comic Con, where we will meet and interview some of the attendees and guests, check out some awesome panels, and even do a little shopping in the dealers room.
And did we mention Stan Lee is gonna be there?!

The Mighty Team-Up – Retrenders & Nerdstalker

When we started Retrenders a few years back with a couple of friends, we shared a vision of creating a cool magazine-style blog about urban fashion, geeky subjects, and just about anything that we had a deep interest in. It’s been a daunting but rewarding task to be a part of ever since, but since that the Internet and information in general is constantly growing in size, we’ve always thought wouldn’t it be great to meet and work with like-minded people to cover more of what’s out there in the world?

While working on a film project, I had the pleasure of meeting the great group of people over at Nerdstalker.com. Nerdstalker, based in the Bay Area also, covers new and emerging tech startups, up and coming websites, and anything important in the tech world. With a shared vision of covering more stories in our world, it is with great pleasure to announce that Retrenders and Nerdstalker will be partnering up and working together in the months ahead!
