Lately Hot Wheels has been putting really cool JDM cars from the past and present at retail shelves. As you can see from my picture, I’ve been collecting tons of Hot Wheels JDM-type cars. Hot Wheels Car Designer Jun Imai talks his love for classic Nissan cars and creating the 1/64 diecast scale Nissan Fairlady 2000 for Hot Wheels.
I have around 300-400 diecast cars in my collection. Its a mix of Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Tomica diecasts, but this guy takes the cake. Toy car collector Bruce Pascal’s Hot Wheels collection is valued at over a $1 million dollars. This guy is hardcore with a Hot Wheels inspired room to put his over 3,500 plus Hot Wheels toys. Bruce also has 175 special Hot Wheels prototypes.
Hot Wheels fans get some urban streetwear treatment by Illest. This Illest x Hot Wheels features Hot Wheels inspired patterns with the Illest style. The capsule collection includes hoodies, graphic tees, shirts, stickers and accessories.
This new Tomica 1/64 diecast car line is shooting for the adult toy colltector. The Tomica Premium line kicks-off the series with the iconic NISMO R34 Z-Tuned sports car.
Corgi is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise with this 1/55 scale diecast collection, featuring 8 iconic vehicles – the Aston Martin DB5 (Goldfinger), the Aston Martin DBS (Casino Royale), the BMW Z3 (GoldenEye), the Jaguar XKR (Die Another Day), the Lotus Esprit Underwater (The Spy Who Loved Me), the Rolls Royce III Sedance de Ville (Goldfinger), the Little Nellie (You Only Live Twice), and the Space Shuttle (Moonraker).
