Star Wars Land Announced

starwarslandThis past weekend was the Disney-only convention D23, which had many big movie announcements and other Disney-related items.  Imagineer Scott Trowbridge showcased the upcoming Star Wars Land in both Disney parks Orlando and Anaheim.  Plus they will be updating Star Tours with a new planet from Episode 7.

Frankie’s Garage: Concepts & Hot Rides at the 2014 Paris Motor Show

The 2014 Paris Motor Show kicks-off October 4 thru the 19th, and there will be plenty of hot rides and concepts cars.  But knowing me, if I was in Europe right now, I would be up in a little town called Munich for Oktoberfest drinking beer and eating all kinds of meats.  Now back to the topic at hand, the 2014 Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris will showcase concepts and future offerings to the car buying public.  One wish, please bring the UK-spec Honda Civic Type R hatchback to the U.S.

DC Superheroes get Korean aftermarket rides @ SEMA 2012!

Kia Motors x JLA via DC Comics

Korean auto company Kia teams up with DC Comics to bring out souped-up Justice League inspired rides.  Need to know what the Batman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Cyborg drive in real life?  Kia cars!  While superstar comic book artist Jim Lee did all the designs, the cars were built by West Coast Customs aftermarket shop, RIDES magazine, and Super Street magazine.

Disneyland California Adventure Park: Radiator Springs Racers

I remember the lamest theme park ever was Disneyland’s California Adventure Park.  You would think if you paid the full ticket price to go to Disneyland, you can also go to California Adventure Park, but NO, you had to pay a separate admission price.  California Adventure Park had like 3-4 good rides and it was usually a ghost town compared to Disneyland Park.  This past weekend (June 15, 2012), a new theme park opened, Cars Land based on Pixar’s animated film Cars.
