Movie Review: Teen Titans Go! To The Movies

The DC movie we do not need but what we deserve.

As I am typing this review, DC/WB just announced the Super Pets. After watching Teen Titans, this shows a possible route the studio is going towards after the many DC films with the mix reviews it had received.

The film starts off with an action introduction and speeds through the exposition of who each of the members are. The story kicks in gear when they realize the lack of attention they get in comparison to the Justice League. After watching a few trailers showcasing Batman’s gadgets, it wear Robin realize they should get a movie of there own.

Deus Ex: Black Light by James Swallow

deusexblacklightcoverBased on the video game series Deus Ex, this new official “canon” novel Deus Ex: Black Light bridges the gap between the end of the video game Deus Ex:  Human Revolution and prequel to the new video game Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.  Author James Swallow who has already penned various Deus Ex original novels starts Black Light like the first Bourne Identity, as Jason Bourne, I mean ex-cop and ex-security Adam Jensen is found at sea and has no memory of his last mission.

Our cyber “augmented” hero Adam Jensen must piece together his past and retrace his steps to find what is going on and all roads lead him back home to Detroit and his former employer Sarif Industries.

Kidrobot x DC Comics = Frank Kozik’s Labbits

dcblisterlabbitsArtist Frank Kozik’s creation, the Labbit creature has found itself onto DC Comics Universe.  In this DC Collection, there are six 2.5″ figures to collect which inlcude:  Batman, Superman, Red Hood, Green Lantern, Cyborg and Bane.  Each of these DC Labbits have super detailed paint jobs and one neat accessory unique to that DC character.

Matty Collector DC Comics Total Heroes

batmanbeyontthTotal Heroes is another line-up of DC Universe 6″ action figures and you can find these figures at big box stores like Target and Wal-Mart.  I bought a few of these Total Heroes like Batman and The Flash, since I liked how they look and it was ten bucks.  Now these already sold out at Matty Collector, these are Total Heroes Ultra editions, meaning they come with more accessories like various interchangeable faces, hands and weapons.  The Batman Beyond figure looks really cool and you can probably find them online somewhere at the $25-35 price range.

DC Superheroes get Korean aftermarket rides @ SEMA 2012!

Kia Motors x JLA via DC Comics

Korean auto company Kia teams up with DC Comics to bring out souped-up Justice League inspired rides.  Need to know what the Batman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Cyborg drive in real life?  Kia cars!  While superstar comic book artist Jim Lee did all the designs, the cars were built by West Coast Customs aftermarket shop, RIDES magazine, and Super Street magazine.
