On brezzy Saturday night, August 28, 2015 in the Richmond District SF, Woot Bear Gallery held the “Vive La Lolligag!” event. Both an art show featuring a collection of contemporary artist reinterpreting the Lolligag vinyl doll and a final release edition of the Lolligag doll, the grape colorway Lolligag figure.
Our Vinyl Pulp team was there to recap the event and interviews with the creators and artists on hand.

On this episode of Vinyl Pulp we visit Woot Bear SF where they join forces with Boundless Brooklyn and Outre for the Art on Guard: Lifeguard Tower Art Show. This show featured over 40 different artists and their custom lifeguard towers. Vinyl Pulp also interviews the man behind Outre apparel brand.
Baywatch with David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson … well not really. If you’ve been to the beach for a swim, you usually see a lifeguard tower, well this gallery event is Art on Guard, a show of artists building miniature scale Lifeguard Towers. This will be the first show of its kind on the West Coast and it will be held tonight at Woot Bear in San Francisco, CA. We got a new show on our Retrenders’ YouTube channel – it’s Vinyl Pulp. Since we’ve done many events at Kidrobot and Woot Bear, we had in mind on a show just focusing on vinyl toys, toy art collectibles and urban art, and so here it is, the first episode of Vinyl Pulp!
I bought a Mad Panda! Welcome to the Woot Bear showcase: Toys Things & Art Exhibit from Japan. Woot Bear collabs with some of Tokyo’s top toy vinyl artists like Dehara Yukinori, Hariken, Konatsu, Mai Nagamoto, Mographixx, Refreshment Toy and Studio Uamou for this exhibit running through May 10, 2015.
This past weekend, artist Nathan Jurevicius released his latest vinyl creation – the Anzû Sylvan based on the artist Gary Ham’s Sylvan platform. The 9″ vinyl toy is a tribute to Sumerian/Akkadian mythology. The Anzû Sylvan is limited to 100 pieces.
