Kidrobot collabs again with artist Scott Tolleson on a new Dunny series – The Odd Ones. This Dunny collection drops tomorrow, October 8, 2016. The 3″ Dunny series takes a Halloween themed inspiration. There are 14 character designs including the chase figures in this collection.
I wish I could go back in time and tell my 1980s self not to damage, throwaway or giveaway my various Kenner DC Super Powers action figures. I was at Walgreens this week and finally spotted the Walgreens exclusive Gentle Giant LTD release of the DC Super Powers Micro Figures. The 2″ PVC figures in Series 1 features Batman, Robin, Joker, The Flash and Lex Luthor. The packaging is reminiscent of the 1980s Kenner DC Super Powers line-up.
Since I’m on a budget and storage space issue these days, I am very picky on what figures I get. The Rogue One toys are now hitting the toy shelves at retailers and this Black Series Sergeant Jyn Erso is on my list. The 6″ action figure has lots of neat details and pose-ability.
Dead Zebra Inc’s popular Android vinyl is back with series 6. The Android Mini Series 06 features 16 designs including 3 rare chase figures. Early this year, Disney announced a new line of official authentic film replicas of props from the Star Wars franchise – the Star Wars Collectibles: Ultimate Studio Edition. This ain’t know Burger King-style run and gun operation, these are made to order (takes around 16 weeks) with custom display pedestals and packed into wooden crates. Different helmets, lightsabers and weapons are available to order. These props are for the high-end Star Wars fan collector and likely used for display purposes. Expect premium prices.
The popular toy-art figures Be@rbricks are back with another series. Medicom Toys releases the Be@rbricks Series 32. The 3″ bear-like LEGO mini-figs feature 12 base designs and 10 “chase designs.” This year’s collection features company designs like the Suicide Squad, Terminator, One Punch Man and artists like Shoko Nakazawa and Fujio Akatsuka.
