Cosplayers usually design and build costumes and props. Well, this cosplayer doesn’t need it. Just paint it on the body. My Retrenders buddy Steve Jang sent me this YouTube video a few months back. It was on my I’ll watch later, but I finally got around to it and was blown away. Artist/Model Kay Pike is known for her detailed body paint of superheroes on her naked body. She is taking superhero body paint to the next level.

December 9, 2016 by Leave a Comment
I remember watching this “old” Star Trek TV series as a kid. “Trek” didn’t really resonate with me until Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager TV series. Over time I went back to watch this original Star Trek series and films with the original cast. This year mark the 50th anniversary of the original Star Trek TV series and this poster size hardbound title Star Trek 50 Artists 50 Years celebrates the iconic sci-fi TV program.

I sometimes buy LEGO sets just for the minifigures because they are so cute and cool. Most fans display and play with their minifigs, but this guy does one step further by photographing LEGO minifigs in action poses or funny scenes. Photographer Sofiane Samlal aka Samsofy has an eye for photographing LEGO minifigures, while making the political statement or social commentary in our world around us.
Food: Best Cheesecake

Okay, so I’m a West Coast gal and the only cheesecake I know is the Cheesecake Factory. A few weeks back, I was at the coffee shop with my girlfriends and the random topic of where to eat good cheesecake came up. My friend was like it has to be Juniors! I was like what? Not the Cheesecake Factory? I quickly got on my iPhone and started Google research on Junior’s Cheesecake. And before you know it, we ordered the Holiday Little Fellas Sampler.

What would you do if our sun turned against us? So hot that it could kill you if hit by the rays. Maybe go to some Day Clubs? Sounds scarier than going to a Night Club really. I was lucky enough to be able to have a small interview with Zack Kaplan at Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con. You can check it out here if you haven’t already here. [Read more…]
The Marvel Vault – A Visual History
December 2, 2016 by Leave a Comment
I remember as a kid in the 1980s, you were either a Marvel Comics or DC Comics fan, there was no in-between. I didn’t get serious into collecting comics until the late 1980s and early 1990s, when Marvel had an amazing staple of talents like Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Rob Liefield, Marc Silverstri, Whilce Portacio and Jae Lee, just to name a few. Every week I had a stack of Marvel comic books and a issue was like .75 cents! If you know you have a Marvel fan this Holiday season, then The Marvel Vault – A Visual History will make a great gift item.
