Movie Review: Teen Titans Go! To The Movies

The DC movie we do not need but what we deserve.

As I am typing this review, DC/WB just announced the Super Pets. After watching Teen Titans, this shows a possible route the studio is going towards after the many DC films with the mix reviews it had received.

The film starts off with an action introduction and speeds through the exposition of who each of the members are. The story kicks in gear when they realize the lack of attention they get in comparison to the Justice League. After watching a few trailers showcasing Batman’s gadgets, it wear Robin realize they should get a movie of there own.

Author Ramin Zahed takes us on a journey with writer/director Mark Osborne known for his Kung-fu Panda animated hit on the challenge of making a classic story with new twist and animating it. This is Titan Books’ The Little Prince – The Art of the Movie.

The Iron Giant Movie Re-Release

The Iron Giant gets a multiplex revival of sorts with this Signature Edition re-release with remastered sound and colors. In the age of digital downloads and streaming music, who goes to the record stores and buys the physical copy? Well, if you’re an old-school fanboy like me, this is one CD you should definitely buy, The Transformers: The Movie Original Motion Picture Score by Vince DiCola. Let’s not mistake these soundtrack CDs for the Michael Bay live-action crap, this is the 1986 animated Transformers flick. Yes, you should be aware The Transformers: The Movie CD which came out in 1986, but that CD featured all the pop songs like “The Touch” & “Dare” and only a couple of score tracks. This release features 25 tracks of music score from the movie.

Fibonacci Zoetrope Sculptures

Let’s see what you can else you can do with 3D printers? Why not make a work of art, a Fibonacci Zoetrope Sculpture? And that’s what inventor/designer/artist John Edmark has done. But first let’s define two words: Fibonacci and Zoetrope.

Fibonacci numbers – “the unending sequence 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, … where each term is defined as the sum of its two predecessors.” Dictionary.com

Zoetrope – “a device for giving an illusion of motion, consisting of a slitted drum that, when whirled, shows a succession of images placed opposite the slits within the drum as one moving image.” Dictionary.com
