This beautiful and colorful dress is crazy – 50,000 gummy bears used and the gown weighs in at 220 pounds.  The dress was designed by Editor-In-Chief Hissa Igarashi and Fashion Editor Sayuri Marakumi for the debut of TWELV fashion magazine and the gown was inspired by fashion designer Alexander McQueen.  The original gown was in McQueen’s 2008 Spring/Summer Collection.

Insight Editions: The Dark Knight Manual

thedarkknightmanualThis is so cool – I’ve always been looking for the greater cause. I don’t mean just donating a few bucks to your favorite charity. What I mean is sacrificing myself for the greater good of mankind  – I just never knew how to get started.  Now, I think I have just found my ray of light.  In the manual, there’s everything you need to get started on the Batcave and the Batman arsenals – Diagrams, Sketches, and many more. I just hope it comes with instructions on how to pay for everything.

Mikros 70 Headphones

Now your MP3 player will sound awesome!

MartinLogan is introducing their first pair of headphones ever. I love their electrostatic speakers and can’t wait to try these out. According to the specs, the Mikros 70 body is constructed from black anodized solid aluminum – that’s probably why it’s at a modest $149 retail price.

Lightsaber Chopsticks!

I tell my friends I’m buying these lightsaber chopsticks for my son but seriously, we all know this is for me.  This is the newer version by Kotobukiya with LED lights glowing while you eat. You never know the next version might have an actual laser instead of an LED light. Imagine how cool that would be – just press the button and the lightsaber will slice your food.

Public Transportation x Star Wars = Lightsaber Handrails

Why does the Japanese have all the fun? Why can’t our local transportation authority participate in something like this? A Lightsaber Star Wars handrail on my bus ride will definitely make my daily commute more fun.

Mishka NYC x Harvey Comics

These days, everyone knows the two big comic book publishing giants – DC Comics and Marvel Comics.  In the 1940s, there was another big comic book publisher, Harvey Comics, and one of it’s better known characters is Casper the Friendly Ghost.  Harvey Comics has been defunct since 1994, but it’s back in this collab with apparel company Mishka NYC.

Is That a Plane in Your Pocket?

Pocket Planes Title Screen

Pocket Planes Title Screen

Nimblebit, the team that brought you Tiny Tower, is back with a new game called Pocket Planes. Instead of managing a tower, you’re in charge of managing an airline.

If I had to classify this game, I would place it in the time management style of games. It starts you off with a plane and a couple of airports and your job is to move passengers and cargo from one airport to another while maximizing profit. As you make money, you expand your airline with more planes and airports.

Drink: Ikea Dark Lager

“I’ll have an order of Swedish meatballs and a pint of beer!”

Ikea is selling beer but, so far, it is not available in the States.  I will definitely assign myself to the taste test for Retrenders once I find this and report the result back to everyone. I do hope the beer comes fully assembled and not missing any small parts.

Made in Budapest: Bicycle Fashion Clothes

Urban Legend is a Hungarian brand that specializes in cycle wear. This line of clothing will only continue to grow as more city dwellers try to move closer to more greener alternative forms of transportation. I have always loved biking, however, most functional bike clothes have always made me look like I am ready for the Tour De France and I feel very self-conscious and uncomfortable once I separate myself from my bike.

A Real Cannon in Your Hands!

“Mommy – can I please buy this?”

This is a real cannon that sits on your table. You can buy pellets and gunpowder separately and shoot away. I don’t think I can have any one of these on my desk at work because I’d get in too much trouble for “accidentally” firing these at passers-by.

NES Minimalist Art Prints

Society6 has a great idea here with these NES minimalist art prints. Who would have thought that decades ago, games would soon be considered as art. Punisher Fan Film by Thomas Jane

dirtylaundryThe Punisher is one of my favorite characters in the Marvel universe, and was first introduced in the pages of Spider-Man in the 1970s and afterwards having his own ongoing comic book series in 1987 with writer Mike Baron and artist Klaus Janson.  Marvel green-lit 3 films for the Punisher, the first film had action star Dolph Lundgren; the second film starred actor Thomas Jane; and the third, titled Punisher:  War Zone, starred Ray Stevenson.  All three of the films weren’t big hits at the box office or with critics, so actor Thomas Jane wanted to make his own version of  a Punisher film.  It’s gritty and violent – and that’s the Punisher.
