Trending Artist: Gaby Moreno

Gaby Moreno is an eclectic singer and songwriter playing anything from the blues to ragtime jazz songs to Latin pop.

From Guatemala, Gaby is a very versatile and talented Latin alternative-rock artist that has been in the United States for over 10 years. She’s also won the John Lennon songwriting contest, sang the Charlie Chaplin song “Smile” for the Academy Award winning documentary The Cove, and wrote the theme song for the NBC comedy, Parks and Recreation.

Punisher Fan Film by Thomas Jane

dirtylaundryThe Punisher is one of my favorite characters in the Marvel universe, and was first introduced in the pages of Spider-Man in the 1970s and afterwards having his own ongoing comic book series in 1987 with writer Mike Baron and artist Klaus Janson.  Marvel green-lit 3 films for the Punisher, the first film had action star Dolph Lundgren; the second film starred actor Thomas Jane; and the third, titled Punisher:  War Zone, starred Ray Stevenson.  All three of the films weren’t big hits at the box office or with critics, so actor Thomas Jane wanted to make his own version of  a Punisher film.  It’s gritty and violent – and that’s the Punisher.

The Walking Dead on Blu-ray

I thoroughly enjoyed both seasons of the Walking Dead series. It’s cleverly written, the acting’s great, and it’s nicely shot. I highly anticipated each new episode and it was a definite “must watch” every week. So, when I saw the Blu-ray box set coming out in late August, I immediately wanted to share the news with all our readers. I love and highly recommend everyone to watch the series and can’t wait until next season, though I’m not sure if i can put this box in the middle of my entertainment center – especially when it’s not around Halloween yet.
