Anime Expo 2015 Vlog Series

animeexpo2015logoEven though this Retrenders got the big rejection on getting press credentials for AX, that still did not stop us!  Since Ramen host Ramon Angel has never been to Anime Expo, we grab some friends and a mini-van (that really helps) and took a road trip down to SoCal for AX 2015 this July 4th weekend!   Since our fresh camera operators Johnny Moreno and James Navarro couldn’t make the trip, we will do a Vlog series of videos on AX 2015.  We’ll give our opinions, thoughts, reflections, highlights and whatever else is on our mind, so check our AX Vlog Playlist on our Retrenders’ YouTube channel!

Twin Galaxies Grand Opening 2015

Pin-up Artist and Illustrator – Nicole Brune at BigWow Comicfest

Nicole Brune - Pin-up Artist Illustrator - RetrendersI’m a fan of Frank Cho’s, “Apes and Babes”, illustrations of women. And when I came across Nicole Brune’s art, I can definitely say if you love his work – you’ll undeniably love hers!
I especially love how Nicole Brune fashions some of her pin-up illustrations with pulp-fiction fantasy appeal that works from darkness to sweetness, or sweetness to darkness. I guess this would depend on what you notice first. See her artwork at www.nicolebrune.com
