My fellow Retrenders writer SW biko likes his Hyundai Elantra Zombie Survival car, but I will take this from Japan – the KURATAS:

A Collection of Star Wars Art
It’s been over 30 plus years that Star Wars first appeared in theaters. Here’s a collection of some incredible Star Wars-inspired art.
Super Mario & Lots of Post-It Notes!
Future Flicks: Pacific Rim by Guillermo Del Toro
For those that would love to find out more about Pacific Rim, Del Toro won’t tell! He shows us a bit of a trailer clip followed by some Q and A, and he leaves everything else up to our imagination.
Comic-Con was the director’s last and only sneak peek of what is to come for his upcoming film. He’s promising Clash of the Titans-type massive beasts that emerge from the sea against armored humans piloting gigantic robots into an apocalyptic battle for the human race.
The film will be Guillermo Del Toro’s most accomplished Sci-Fi work, with a whole city built to mimic urban Japan and a wardrobe production from human battle armor suits to enormous juggernaut robots to sea beasts over 25 stories high. And just like he has done for his past films, he will integrate only the necessary visual detail to every physical aspect of the film. So every film location will have layers of disaster elements and dust and every giant tank robot will have battle scars from past encounters.
Insane Coffee Madness: Death Wish
I am a 3 cups-a-day coffee drinker. Heck, I even own Starbucks stocks because I like coffee so much, so when I saw this advertisement for the world strongest coffee, naturally I was intrigued. The minute you enter the website, there are disclaimers and warnings letting you know this is a highly caffeinated drink. While I was reading comments that this stuff should be illegal, I was already looking for my credit card. It claims to have 200% more caffeine than a typical coffee, hmmm, you know this might make me become too productive at work.
UD Replicas: The Dark Knight Rises Biker Apparel
This is so cool – first we wrote up a post on The Dark Knight Manual and now we have a Batman suit to ride on your motorcycle. As I mentioned in my previous post, I wanted to do something for the greater good, and so with the manual, this suit, my motorcycle, and some improvised gadgets, I am now ready to save the world. Also, this suit is a real-serious motorcycle suit. It has body armor for the elbows, forearms, and shoulders plus it has a back spine protector.
Frankie’s Garage: Hyundai Mad Max Elantra Coupe
With the apocalypse so close at hand, it is comforting to know that our car companies has our back. Hyundai might soon introduce the new zombie survival machine equipped with the state of the art CB radio. I’m not sure how you will fuel this thing but at least you will get great mileage for every gallon you salvage. I wonder if these will come in different colors …
Trending Artist: Gaby Moreno
Gaby Moreno is an eclectic singer and songwriter playing anything from the blues to ragtime jazz songs to Latin pop.
From Guatemala, Gaby is a very versatile and talented Latin alternative-rock artist that has been in the United States for over 10 years. She’s also won the John Lennon songwriting contest, sang the Charlie Chaplin song “Smile” for the Academy Award winning documentary The Cove, and wrote the theme song for the NBC comedy, Parks and Recreation.
Gaby can be compared to having the sweet soulful sounds of Etta James and Édith Piaf, whether she sings in English or in Spanish!

Gummy Bear Dress Tribute to Alexander McQueen
This beautiful and colorful dress is crazy – 50,000 gummy bears used and the gown weighs in at 220 pounds. The dress was designed by Editor-In-Chief Hissa Igarashi and Fashion Editor Sayuri Marakumi for the debut of TWELV fashion magazine and the gown was inspired by fashion designer Alexander McQueen. The original gown was in McQueen’s 2008 Spring/Summer Collection.

Insight Editions: The Dark Knight Manual
This is so cool – I’ve always been looking for the greater cause. I don’t mean just donating a few bucks to your favorite charity. What I mean is sacrificing myself for the greater good of mankind – I just never knew how to get started. Now, I think I have just found my ray of light. In the manual, there’s everything you need to get started on the Batcave and the Batman arsenals – Diagrams, Sketches, and many more. I just hope it comes with instructions on how to pay for everything.

Mikros 70 Headphones
MartinLogan is introducing their first pair of headphones ever. I love their electrostatic speakers and can’t wait to try these out. According to the specs, the Mikros 70 body is constructed from black anodized solid aluminum – that’s probably why it’s at a modest $149 retail price.
Lightsaber Chopsticks!
I tell my friends I’m buying these lightsaber chopsticks for my son but seriously, we all know this is for me. This is the newer version by Kotobukiya with LED lights glowing while you eat. You never know the next version might have an actual laser instead of an LED light. Imagine how cool that would be – just press the button and the lightsaber will slice your food.
Mishka NYC x Harvey Comics
These days, everyone knows the two big comic book publishing giants – DC Comics and Marvel Comics. In the 1940s, there was another big comic book publisher, Harvey Comics, and one of it’s better known characters is Casper the Friendly Ghost. Harvey Comics has been defunct since 1994, but it’s back in this collab with apparel company Mishka NYC.
