Classic Star Trek Props Made from LEGO
It always amazes what people can do with LEGO. If you’re fan of Star Trek: The Original Series, here are some cool LEGO builds of a phaser, tricorder and communicator by Tommy Williamson.
Wolverine Dunnies by J. Arturo Ramírez Romero
These are some pretty cool custom figures of Wolverine done by J. Arturo Ramirez Romero. You can’t buy them just yet, you need to email him and if there are enough interest, he might put it into production. I would love to see him do the whole X-Men group or the entire Avengers team since they’re really hot items right now. Or maybe even Bruce Lee! Because, you know, he was DA MAN.

Summer Fun Kid Project: MAKE Marshmallow Shooter
It’s summer and what kid doesn’t enjoy a good water fight? I love using Super Soakers at the lake and blasting everything in sight. But it does get a little messy and with kids, you need to bring lots of extra dry clothes. Here’s a new alternative, why not make your own DIY marshmallow shooter with your kids?
Lego x Star Wars = Maurits Cornelis Escher’s “Relativity”
Does this LEGO creation look like a famous drawing?
If yes, it’s a Star Wars themed LEGO recreation of M.C. Escher’s “Relativity” (1953) art piece.

Custom Built LEGO Concert Stage
This custom LEGO concert venue is filled with details you will find in a real world concert. LEGO builder Steinberg spent lots of time adding details like the backstage area and concert stage.
Nerf Super Soaker Lightningstorm
Let the water fights begin. If you want to be king of all water fights, then you might want to pick up the Nerf Super Soaker Lightningstorm water blaster. The Lightningstorm takes 4 AA batteries to operate with a 25ft shooting range and a 37-ounce water drum clip.
LEGO Dark Knight Trailer
If you thought you saw all the Dark Knight trailers, check out this version of the trailers, but done in Lego. We should expect the Lego Dark Knight video game to follow soon. I have to admit though, Lego video games are one of the most kid-friendly game series around.
LEGO “Heavy Weapons”
Do you have any summer reading plans? Might I suggest “LEGO Heavy Weapons” book from No Starch Press. It’s 368 pages of instructions on how to build 4 life-size guns with shooting action, like loading clips and firing brick ammo – and all from LEGOs. The book will show you how to piece together the Desert Eagle pistol, AKS-74U assault rifle, Jungle Carbine rifle, and SPAS shotgun. This kid Jack Streat from the UK started when he was just 13 years-old building LEGO firearms.

Super Cool Mom Award: Home Built F1 Model for Her Son
This 4 year old boy sure is happy!! Thumbs up Mom!!
From Japan comes a super cute story and a labor of love project – a mom decided on building her son a cool cardboard Formula 1 replica. As you can possibly tell, mom is a big fan of F1 racing and a fan of Sebastian Vettels’ Red Bull F1 RB8. She studied pictures and videos and added little details like wings and even the correct stickers and logos. Amazing. The cardboard replica even folds up!
Frankie’s Garage: What’s Wrong with This Picture?
The team at Retrenders was happily strolling down the Target toy aisle and spotted this odd looking item. This is clearly not a Pontiac Firebird! The person who returned this item must have bought it and took the original Hot Wheels out and replaced it with a cheap look alike die-cast car. Look at what you buy.
Liam Neeson & Patrick Stewart: Battle of the Action Figures
Watch as Jean-Luc Picard causes Patrick Stewart to double facepalm while Qui Gon Jinn causes Liam Neeson to be absolutely confused.
