For the first time in South Korean’s postal history, they will issue celebrity stamps featuring the biggest Kpop girl group, Girls’ Generation. The stamp set will have all members of the group with autographs and 5 album covers. The 14-set stamp set will be available in August 2012 throughout all 50 South Korea Postal Offices. The whole set will retail around $18.00USD. I will be looking for these stamps on eBay in August!
Space Invaders Bathroom
Video games have invaded home decor. Not a totally new concept but the idea has mostly been isolated to the wallpaper in junior’s room. This, though, is the first time I have seen video game art placed in a bathroom. On top of that, it’s Space Invaders made with bathroom tiles! I can’t wait until someone comes up with a cool 8-bit Super Mario design done in tiles.

The Japanese Singing Note Toy
Japanese toys are innovative, unique, and just plain weird! But hey, what’s life if it’s not spontaneous? So, what did our favorite engineering friends come up with this time? It is the cutest and weirdest instrument ever!! See how it works! The man in the video is Novmichi Tosa, the inventor of Otomatone – this wacky new instrument sweeping the nation. It follows a scale and comes with musical notes and everything!

Aston Martin Bicycle
For those who are looking for a simple bike to stroll on a lazy afternoon, look elsewhere, because this thing is the Aston Martin of bikes. Oh wait, it IS an Aston Martin bike. The bike has a leather handlebar and all wiring on the bike are hidden.
Interview with DJ/Producer Steve Aoki
Check out this clip of Steve Aoki – he’s one heck of a talented guy who’s got some very interesting things to say about music and spirituality. Of course the music in the background is thumping and clips from his shows just permeate with excitement and energy, but you can tell that this guy loves his job.
Smaller iPad Screen
We really shouldn’t be spreading rumors but what the heck, some things in life are too good not to share. There are reports coming out that Apple is planning on producing a smaller iPad with a 7 to 8 inch screen. Even though the bigger iPad screen is great for surfing the net, the smaller screen will be perfect for the public transit commuter like me. With one hand on the rail bar and one hand on a smaller iPad – now they have to figure out how I can surf with just one thumb because I’m not taking that hand off the rail. Have you seen how some bus drivers drive around lately?
Check out the Bloomberg article: iPad with Smaller Screen.
The Art of Sabi Van Hemert
These are works from Dutch artist Sabi Van Hemert. She incorporates animal and child-likeness into movement. The sculpture works remind me of Marvel’s Spider-Man in action poses.
Play Monopoly on the Streets of Chicago
How cool would it be to play the classic board game “Monopoly” on the streets of Chi-town? Way cool.
The street artist(s) behind this “Monopoly” art project chose to remain hidden, but they are simply known as the artist(s) – Bored. For more pictures of this “Monopoly” street art and article, go to: Colossal, Art & Design – Monopoly Street Art.

Hand Drawn London Map by Jenni Sparks
I like to draw, well, more like doodling in my notebook. But this is too insane – a hand drawn map of London. Really, this is hand drawn!
Illustrator/artist Jenni Sparks spent 2 months and over 100 hours drawing the city. What’s cool about this map is it does not highlight the tourist traps, but showcases landmarks, pubs, neighborhoods, local stores, and other cool places in London.
Snap a Pic … Retro-like!
Here is a cool, useful case for your iPhone…one part sturdy with two parts retro!
The Gizmon iPhone case adds that little bit (O.K….A LOT) of nostalgic, vintage feel of those Leica-style cameras to your technological gadget. It adds extra photographic capabilities to the regular iPhone camera (and can even be mounted onto a tripod).
