Video games have invaded home decor. Not a totally new concept but the idea has mostly been isolated to the wallpaper in junior’s room. This, though, is the first time I have seen video game art placed in a bathroom. On top of that, it’s Space Invaders made with bathroom tiles! I can’t wait until someone comes up with a cool 8-bit Super Mario design done in tiles.

Here’s our latest Retrenders Spotlight episode as we team-up with Project 760 Productions to bring you a nice and intimate look on artist Luke Chueh. Luke has just released an art book published by Titan Books titled The Art of Luke Chueh Bearing the Unbearable.
For those who are looking for a simple bike to stroll on a lazy afternoon, look elsewhere, because this thing is the Aston Martin of bikes. Oh wait, it IS an Aston Martin bike. The bike has a leather handlebar and all wiring on the bike are hidden.

These are works from Dutch artist Sabi Van Hemert. She incorporates animal and child-likeness into movement. The sculpture works remind me of Marvel’s Spider-Man in action poses.

Illustrator/artist Jenni Sparks spent 2 months and over 100 hours drawing the city. What’s cool about this map is it does not highlight the tourist traps, but showcases landmarks, pubs, neighborhoods, local stores, and other cool places in London.

UK artist Steve Payne uses Photoshop to swap the faces of friends, family members, celebrities, and even regular folks like you and me with, those of over three hundred 19th-century Russian generals, who were originally painted by English artist George Dawe in the wake of the Napoleonic War.
Joining into the cheap chic designer-mass retailer fray, Kohl’s is launching their new Design Nation November 2012, where they will be collaborating with a designer to bring high fashion to the masses. The first of which is Narciso Rodriguez.
Design Nation allows the designers to travel to whichever city they please to draw inspiration for their capsule collection. The collection will reflect both the designer and the city. Narciso Rodriguez chose Instanbul for his muse and he explored the city for four days.
