Okay, this may look cool, but knowing drivers here in the US, this will cause some major rubbernecking and accidents! In Vietnam, this “Dragon Bridge” built over Han River in Da Nang was opened to the public last month. The construction of this bridge started in July 2009 costing over $85 million dollars US and has six lanes for cars. The dragon can release fire or water. Maybe this is what a futuristic Games of Throne city would look like!

If you’re a film fanatic like me, this FILMography art project by photographer Christopher Moloney is truly awesome. He takes a scene from a movie and finds the actual location of where the scene was shot.
The Sega Master System (SMS) didn’t get the props or sales numbers like it’s rival Nintendo Entertainment System during the 1980s, but I thought it had great games and graphics. And I still have the system and it still works!!! Here’s a one-off tribute by French video game blogger Subby-kun and his wife Subbinette. The sofa is the main unit while the pillows make the two joysticks.
Who doesn’t want to draw comics like Jack Kirby, Will Eisner and Jim Lee? Nobody starts off the gates drawing comics, cartoons and creating iconic characters without the basics. The A-B-C’s of drawing is what gets you from Point A to Point B. In our day of digital technology we can find art instruction on-line. I learned my cooking & cocktail recipes and Photoshop tutorials on YouTube. Sometimes, you need a little old school instruction and we’re going back to the early 20th century with commercial artist Andrew Loomis (1892-1959). Mr Loomis was well known for his various instructional art books and many of these books are not in print anymore. Fun with a Pencil was published back in 1939 and thanks to Titan Books, this instructional art book is in bookstore shelves.
Photographer Ahn Jun has a knack for taking pictures in high places. I’m having acrophobia by just looking at these pictures.
Artist photographer James Wojcik loved playing with toy slot car tracks as a kid and now he’s created a Freeway Series using toy slot car tracks. The track layout is art itself.
This kid likes to put himself into pictures with other superheroes and anime characters. It’s pretty neat. Illustrations by 蓋老師.
Here’s a What If? take of the popular sci-fi film series Star Wars. Artist Denis Medri drawings showcases Star Wars characters in 1980 settings and clothes. Cool.

Derek’s collection has lots of variety of dresses and skirts, so if you’re looking for various evening event wardrobes, you may want to break out your credit cards on this collection!
I get up pretty early for work and also on my days off. For instance, I’m writing this post at 5:48am in the morning. Currently, I’m downing coffee while I absentmindedly type away on the keyboard. Instead of depending on the coffee to jolt me awake, it’d be great to stare down into one of these cups to get my brain and eyes that surprise kick in the head I sorely need to get my day going. The regular 11 oz. cup goes for $15 while the larger 15 oz. one goes for $20 plus they’ve got plenty of sea and land creatures to choose from.

With tons of Lego stored up in containers and since I spend a lot of time looking for my keys, why didn’t I put two and two together and think of something like this? Well German architect Felix Grauer, who dabbles in photography and design in his free time, built something that even my son could build and, better yet, can be very functional for any home. One can hang up their house keys or even snap them together to make a nifty keychain of sorts.
What’s trending for Japanese schoolgirls in Japan lately? Photographing anime-inspired fighting moves and it looks pretty awesome.
I’ve never been a big fan of calendars. Sometimes, it just reminds me of how many long days are left before the weekend starts or how wide the disparity is between the number of workdays and days in the weekend are. However, being a fan of comic book superheoes, this calendar will at least bring a big smile on my face every time I look at what day it is. There’s only a few calendars left since they went on sale recently but you can check out some other calendars here – such as a cute Star Wars and an Animal Matryoshka one.
MSRP: $15.00USD

Most of us have probably moved on from stepping into a video store to using Netflix by mail if not by digital cable at the push of a menu button, but the truth be told is that we lose a great deal of social interaction, adventure and discovery about films first hand, because where else could you find unusual categories, collections, to even never before seen films that went nowhere but into a video store that exists for the interest of a cinephile, and of course operated by people who love the art of cinema and have made the video store their business to provide that missing, if not, hard to find film you’ve been searching for.
A SWEDED version of the Pacific Rim trailer, a style obviously admired and mimicked from Michel Gondry’s 2008 film “Be Kind Rewind”. It’s hilarious!
Just found the perfect gift to give to my friends and family this year. Forget the jewelry for my wife, the Xbox games for my son, the rum cake for my friends, I’m giving them something that is special, unique, and memorable – a foldable me. Anyone can go onto foldable.me and download a pic of themselves and *Boom*, in two weeks you can give a little mini cardboard copy of yourself and have this next to them all the time. Personally, it’s be nice if these foldable.me figures came in different costumes like having one in an army fatigue outfit, or as Batman, Predator, or maybe even Luke Skywalker.

Artist Jules Julian teamed up with designers Alan Temiraev & Volodenka Zotov to create an awesome looking pencil set box. The 8 graphite pencils come together as a portrait of Russian Mathematician Grigori Perelman. The package box looks amazing too.
Art can communicate thought provoking conservations and human emotions, like this art piece “This Is Not A Game” by artist Lorenzo Quinn. This sculpture features life-sized green army men and giant hands. The piece using a real Russian T55 tank was installed back in 2011 at San Servolo Island, Venice, Italy.
The Internet been buzzing about this new manga project by Japanese artist Mari Yamazaki (“Thermae Romae”). The Japanese magazine “Kiss” will delivered the first chapter of this Steve Jobs fantasy driven biopic. It’s too bad I can’t read Kanji characters! I need a translator.
